Lila Mae Blasi

Lila Mae Blasi 79, died Monday, August 27, 2012 at Wheatridge Park Care Center in Liberal, KS.

She was born February 6, 1933 in Comanche Co. Kansas the daughter of Ralph and Lucy (Stevenson) Sangster.

She had attended Enterprise School and graduated from Protection High School in Protection, KS in 1951 and then attended Pratt Junior College.

After moving to Liberal in 1964 from Scott City, she was employed at the Peoples National Bank retiring in Feb.1998 as Vice President, with having almost 30 years in the banking business.

She was a member of the First United Methodist Church where she helped with the finance, worship, Jean Randall Foundation and Stewardship Committees. Also Circle 3 of the United Methodist Women. She was a member of the Baker Arts and Southwest Medical Center Aux. receiving her 700 hour pin in Aug. of 2004. She is a past member of the PEO-AP chapter.

On Nov. 4, 1955 she married Bill Blasi in Pratt, Kansas. He survives.

1 Granddaughter Jadey Mae Blasi

Preceded in death by son Bruce in 1972, 3 brothers Dick, Harold and Bob Sangster, 1 sister Betty Hester.

Funeral service will be held at 10:30 am Thursday at the First United Methodist Church with Pastor David Randall presiding. Burial will be held at 3:00 pm Thursday at the Protection Cemetery in Protection, KS.

Visitation time will be 9am to 8pm Wednesday at Brenneman Funeral Home

Memorial contributions may be sent to the First United Methodist Church in care of Brenneman Funeral Home 1212 W. 2nd Liberal, KS 67901.
