Jean Marie Weeast

Jean Marie Weeast, 88, died Monday, September 24, 2012 at Wheatridge Park Care Center in Liberal, KS.

She was born October 23, 1923 in Cleveland, Ohio the daughter of John Harold and Grace Elizabeth (Nichols) Keefe. She graduated from Trenton Central High School in Trenton, New Jersey in 1942.

She had been a resident of Liberal for the past 20 years.

She was a homemaker and had worked for the John A. Robbling Co.. She also was owner and operator of Jean and Art’s Bait and Tackle and Luncheonette at Sea Side Park, New Jersey.

She was a member of the First United Methodist Church, March of Dimes and American Heart Assoc.

On June 8, 1946 she married Arthur James Weeast in New Jersey. He died January 12, 1985.

Survivors include.

3 Sons Robert Morgan Weeast and wife Johanna Toms River, New Jersey Arthur James Weeast, Jr. and wife Vickie Centennial, CO Jeffery Dean Weeast and wife Stephanie Liberal, KS

1 Brother John Nichols Keefe Trenton, New Jersey

1 Sister Bettie Jane Goddard Easton, Maryland

6 Grandchildren John Weeast, Jim Weeast, Jeffery Weeast Jr., Westin Weeast, Tanner Antrim Weeast, and Jennifer Weeast.

2 Great Grandchilden

She is preceded in death by parents and one son Warren Wayne Weeast.

Memorial service will held at 1:00 pm Saturday at the First United Methodist Church with Rev. David Randall presiding. Cremation has taken place.
