Barbara Ruth Poarch 85, died Thurs., October 4, 2012 at Belvedere Commons in Franklin, TN. She was born Sept. 15, 1927 in Watonga, Oklahoma the daughter of Warren B. and Grace (Burgin) Scott. She had been a resident of Liberal since 1953. She had worked in the medical offices of Dr. Campion, Dr. Rathburn and Dr. Allen. She retired in 1992.

She was a member of the First Christian Church Disciples of Christ.

On Feb. 3, 1945 she married Valgean Poarch in Jacksonville, Florida. He died Jan. 18, 1983.

1 Half brother Wayne Scott Ft. Worth, TX

1 Half sister Phyllis Humphrey Watonga, OK

4 Grandchildren Julie Bredesen, Mary Katherine Maloy , Edward A. Poarch, and Valery Jean Poarch

1 Great Grandchild Kaitlin Christine Marra

Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 am Saturday Oct 13, 2012 at the First Christian Church Disciples of Christ with Pastor Terry Ford presiding. Burial will be in Restlawn Cemetery.

Visitation Time will be 5-8pm Friday at Brenneman Funeral Home
